Our Commitment and Guarantee We have over a 99% satisfaction rate as we believe in reliability and responsibility. However, we realize risks will inherently be associated with surgery - which we minimize by selecting the best hospitals and surgeons. If you are healthy without prior medical conditions and have realistic expectations, then you should be pleased with your results.
If, in the case that a problem does arise as a result of the surgery that requires corrective surgery, we will cover the following:
- Return economy airfare for 1 adult (airline is the choice of GG)
- Up to 7 nights in 3-4 star accommodation + all services and transfers
- Medical costs associated with the correction surgery
Please note the following terms and conditions: - All post-operative advice by surgeons has been followed
- No corrective procedures will be done within 6 months (to allow for normal complete recovery) and all procedures must be finalized within 1 year of the original surgery
- No procedures are done on the area by another surgeon
- Not applicable to high risk surgical category, including:
1. smokers – smoking 4 weeks before and 4 weeks after surgery
2. patients outside a healthy BMI range (under 18 or over 25)
3. diabetes
4. blood pressure disorders
5. keloid scarring problems
6. vascular or heart problems
7. medications which could interfere with recovery
8. Allergies to anaesthetic
9. History of clots and /or DVT
Please note our Non-smoking policy: Smoking can cause delayed recovery, wound breakdown and increased risk of infection. We strongly recommend that you stop smoking 4 weeks before and 4 weeks after surgery. You may be denied surgery if you smoke and the GG Guarantee is void for smokers.
Please note, if you have any of the above conditions, surgery is at your own risk and it is strongly recommended that you do not go ahead with elective surgery procedures. - All conditions were declared fully and truthfully on the original medical form
- Not applicable for non-surgical procedures, only surgical
- Not applicable to ‘inherent risks’ associated with surgery which are not a result of surgery error, including but not limited to: capsular contracture and skin rippling (in the case of breast implants), numbness and changes in sensation, asymmetry. Please read the lists of risks outlined in the consent form signed.
- Not applicable to changes associated with weight gain/loss or pregnancy since the surgery.
- Surgery must be agreed by the original surgeon as "corrective" surgery. This guarantee is not applicable to "improvement" surgery - where improvements are made to the original surgery - this includes:
Liposuction - there may need to be more liposuction to get the desired results, as only a certain amount can be extracted at any one time safely. Also, slight unneveness or assymetry is a risk as areas cannot be perfectly in symmetry. This guarantee does not cover improvements for assymetry or unneveness from liposuction. - Tummy Tucks - sometimes scar lines cannot be perfectly straight the first time, especially in larger patients or those with a lot of excess skin. This is the case with all tummy tucks, body lifts, thighs lifts and arm lifts. This guarantee does not cover improvements for a straighter scar line or improving the scarring.
- Facelift - with any face surgery, less is always more as surgeons try to achieve a natural result. Please discuss it with your surgeon if you want a tighter lift at your consultation. This guarantee does not cover redo in a facelift if it is not considered "tight" enough as this is improvement, and not considered corrective surgery.
- Breasts - there may be some compromises needed in the size and shape of breasts, as the final result depends entirely on the original breast shape and size. So therefore, flexibility is required as sometimes the perfect shape and size cannot be achieved if your existing tissue or shape or size will not allow for it. Your current chest size, amount of breast tissue will limit the size and shape that you can be. Your surgeon will outline in the consultation what can and cannot be achieved, be sure that you are comfortable with this before you proceed with surgery. This guarantee does not cover changing the size of breast implants as this is considered improvement, not corrective surgery. For this reason, it is extremely important to communicate well with your surgeon before your surgery, to know the size and shape that you will be and to ensure that your expectations are realistic.
Please note our Shared Responsibility policy: We will work with you to reduce risks and recover as fast as possible, but we will need your full cooperation. Read more about this policy here.
- Procedures not included under this guarantee:
Some procedures are not suited to surgery abroad as the expectations may be too unrealistic: Nose (rhinoplasty) and implants (cheek, chin, calf, buttocks) are not recommended in many patients as results can be extremely subjective. Further surgery may be necessary to achieve the exact look you are after if you have a specific goal in mind. We strongly recommend that these procedures are done at home, and therefore are not part of the GG Guarantee.
- Corrective procedures – if you have had prior surgery by any surgeon in the world, then second surgeries can improve results but are often much more complicated and may present more risks, so therefore are not covered under this guarantee.
- Surgeons covered under this guarantee: GG Surgeons on all destinations
- The guarantee is only applicable to patients who have stayed the recommended amount of nights conducive to recovery of the named procedure. If they travel before the recommended time, then they do this at their own risk and GG will not be responsible for sickness or poor healing, recovery and complications. Adequate rest and relaxation is necessary for healing after any surgery.
- If you choose to fly out any earlier than our recommended minimum stay then you take responsibility for your own health should you become ill on the flight or suffer a DVT or an infection (or any similar complication) upon your return home. Most procedures require a long operation with a general anaesthetic and you need time to fully recover before flying safely.
- If you do not agree with the above points, it is highly recommended that you do not have surgery. You may also risk being rejected for surgery by GG or the surgeon if your expectations are not realistic and you do not agree with these points outlined above.
- This guarantee is only valid for surgeries after 1st January 2009
- This guarantee is valid for corrective surgery date being one (1) year after the date of the original surgery.
